Damuth Trane received a certificate recognizing V3 certification in August 2018.The Virginia Values Veterans Program is a free training and certification program for employers to aid in the implementation of nationally recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly-skilled and dependable Veterans. Since the execution of the initial concept, the V3 program has grown to reach hundreds of companies, resulting in over 33,000 actual hires reported so far.
To become V3 certified an organization must submit an executive cover letter detailing the organization’s intent to hire veterans and the organization’s annual veteran hiring goal to the state Governor’s office for approval. Our Human Resources Team also attended a required eight hour core curriculum training course highlighting Best Practices in Veteran Recruiting, Hiring, and Retention.
Virginia became the first state to create an official program dedicated to improving the employment of Veterans by training employers on national best practices to recruit, hire, train and retain Veterans.
