Damuth Trane Honored with Community Impact Award

December 3, 2019

Damuth Trane was recently named as an honoree at the 4th Annual Community Impact Awards. The annual list of businesses presented with the Community Impact Award was created by CoVaBiz Magazine.

The Community Impact Awards honorees are made up of the top 20 companies who applied or were nominated. Companies from across the region answered a series of questions concerning their available opportunities for associates, corporate charitable initiatives and philosophy of giving, as well as overall breadth and history of community involvement. All submissions were reviewed and selected by a group of area leaders and experts and the winners were recognized at the Community Impact Awards Reception on November 7, 2019.

Damuth Trane encourages volunteer service from its associates, and partners with local non-profits such as the United Way of South Hampton Roads to offer associates the opportunity to do so. In addition to corporate-led volunteerism, the company gives charitable contributions and equipment donations to several organizations in the region each year. Damuth Trane gives back to not just the local community but their employees as well, by offering internships, mentorships, continuing education and training opportunities for its associates.

Their philosophy of giving comes from founder Don Damuth who has been committed to giving back since the company’s beginnings. He instilled this compassion and heart for service into his sons, Clint, Phil, and Roger who are carrying on the legacy he created.

“To our company, community impact means that we are using our organization’s funds, talents and gifts to enrich our region, as well as help where we have the talent, passion, and ability to do so,” remarked Clint Damuth, company president; “Our organization is made up of people with many talents and interests that can be utilized here in our community; or any part of the world. Damuth Trane consistently aims to hire not just people that are good at their jobs; but Good People; and good people are always willing to rally behind a noble cause.”
