Spirer will be speaking on recent advances in large structure HVAC technological applications. “Damuth Trane engineers are tasked with the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems that maximize performance, cost-efficiency and longevity,” Spirer said. “My recent work on the Western Tidewater Regional Jail Project in conjunction with David Morgan, Damuth Trane sales engineer and professionals from Colonial Webb Contractors represented a highly successful, collaborative state-of-the-art approach to a challenging field application.” Spirer is a Sales Engineer with Damuth Trane ofChesapeake,VAworking as a technical consultant to architects, contractors and consulting engineers in the design, application, and sales of HVAC solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. He has been with on the Damuth Trane staff for three years specializing in the design and application of alternative energy efficient HVAC systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Energy Manager as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. He is also a graduate of advanced Multistack® training curriculums, aSparta,Wisconsin firm recognized as the inventor and industry leader of modular water chiller HVAC systems. Also presenting will be John Hasher, C.E.M., with Virginia Beach Public Schools. His presentation, “Energy Efficiency Initiatives at Virginia Beach Public Schools,” will follow Spirer’s appearance.
