Damuth Trane Celebrates 45 Years

February 1, 2015 marks the 45^th anniversary of Damuth Trane, a Chesapeake-based business that has grown from 8 employees in a small office to 181 employees that occupy a 50,000 square foot headquarters facility and three parts stores (Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and Newport News). Don Damuth, the founder and Chairman of the Board, joined Trane in 1961 after serving in the Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan. He was first sent to offices in Philadelphia and Long Island, NY before coming to Hampton Roads. He purchased the Hampton Roads / Northeast North Carolina Trane commercial franchise in 1970.
