Blue Jeans for Charity - Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation

April 17, 2014

Damuth Trane is committed to maintaining a healthy workplace that fosters growth potential; both personally and professionally. Part of the personal growth for employees involves giving back to the community – both time and money. One of our favorite ways of giving back is our “Blue Jeans for Charity on Fridays”. Each Friday employees can wear their jeans in return for a $5 donation to the chosen charity for that quarter. Employees submit their charity recommendation and if chosen, the charity receives the proceeds from the Friday collection for that quarter. The first quarter charity of 2014 was the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation. Diamond Blackfan Anemia is a rare blood disorder, characterized by a failure of the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. This failure causes DBA patients to become severely anemic. Because of the continuous support, the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation has been able to fund many important research projects. Damuth Trane was proud to be able to donate $1,400 towards this great cause. A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our “Blue Jean for Charity on Fridays” this quarter!
