2014 Annual Bra-ha-ha Event

October 16, 2014

Damuth Trane has been a proud supporter of the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation’s Bra-ha-ha for several years! The Bra-ha-ha raises funds to support all forms of breast health, including free mammograms for those who need it most. This helps to alleviate financial barriers preventing early detection and enables more positive outcomes for patients. We had several fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for this wonderful organization. We hosted a 4th of July cookout for associates, we hosted a corn hole tournament on July 26, 2014 at Big Woody’s Bar & Grill, and we also collected money from our “Blue Jean Friday” campaign in the office. We were thrilled to be able to present a check to The Bra-ha-ha in the amount of $5,746.23!!! A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated and donated to this amazing cause; without you this would not have been possible! Damuth Trane’s Bra-ha-ha committee put great thought and imagination into this year’s bra submission. We wanted to keep the same theme of the event, which is a “Seriously Uplifting Experience”, in the creation of our bra. What’s more uplifting than hot air balloons!? Each committee member created a unique hot air balloon to symbolize that each breast cancer experience is different and unique to each person. The final product was a beautiful uplifting bra. We had 3 other associates who also created bras to submit into the annual event! Associates and friends were super excited to be able to attend the Annual Bra-Ha-Ha Event held on September 26th at the Chesapeake Convention Center. Each year the talent and creativity displayed through the bra creations is beyond what anyone could ever imagine… you have to see it to believe it! It was a great night filled with happiness and inspiration…a “Seriously Uplifting Experience”! For more information on The Bra-ha-ha visit them online at www.BraHaHa.org
