Demand-Controlled Ventilation
The mobility of a building’s occupants poses a ventilation challenge: To bring enough outdoor air into the building to help ensure good indoor air quality without wasting energy by bringing in (and conditioning) too much. This ENL will discuss various methods used to vary outdoor airflow based on actual demand. It also review the related requirements for compliance with ASHRAE Standards 62.1 and 90.1.
