Trane HVAC Parts and Supplies, a leading distributor in Hampton Roads recently announced Angie Jones will assume the Chesapeake Parts Store Team Leader position. Jones will lead the inside sales team to continue to provide the “one stop shopping” experience to residential and commercial contractors, and facility operators.

“It’s a great opportunity to be able to assist my team in obtaining their personal and career goals, said Jones. I am looking forward to working with the group and building stronger relationships with our clients.”

Jones joined Damuth Trane as a Service Coordinator in 2008; prior she was the General Manager at a family owned HVAC company. Wanting to focus more on sales Jones took an Inside Sales position at the Chesapeake Parts Store in 2009.

The Chesapeake Parts Store Team Leader position became available in October 2011 when the previous Team Leader, Matt Kurz, moved to Parts Operations Leader. Damuth Trane will be looking for a replacement of Jones’ previous position of Parts Inside Sales Representative.

“I’ve enjoyed working with Angie and watching her develop as a leader. Because of the reputation she has built with our customers and her ability to motivate others, this career move will benefit her and the company,” said Matt Kurz Parts Operations Leader.

Chesapeake Bay Academy was recently awarded first place, for the second consecutive year, in the GoGreen Challenge for Independent Schools.

The GoGreen Challenge, sponsored by Trane and BCWH Architects in Richmond, is a friendly competition designed to encourage implementation of specific environmental policies and practical actions that reduce the carbon emissions generated by Virginia schools. Schools belonging to the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS) can become a certified “Green School.”

Clint Damuth, President and General Manager of the Trane Norfolk District office, presented the award to MaryAnne Dukas, Head of School and Linda PriceKing, Director of the Middle School, during a recent Board of Directors Meeting.

“It’s a pleasure to partner with Chesapeake Bay Academy and to be supportive of their efforts to be recognized as a leader among independent schools. We look forward to continuing to work with Chesapeake Bay Academy, navigating through new ways to conserve energy and improve savings.” said Clint Damuth.

The challenge consisted of 10 categories in which schools were awarded points for actions taken to reduce their carbon footprint. Some categories included Energy Efficiency and Green Buildings. Chesapeake Bay Academy’s points totaled 145 securing a first place win among the schools with less than 200 students.

A significant aspect of their 2011 award is the Campus Beautification Project. This new program was initiated for the 2011-2012 school year and was posed as a challenge to staff and faculty during the new school years’ orientation. Teams had three hours and a potential budget of $1,000 to create a beautification plan for the school. Teams supplied creative and inspiring ideas. This will be an ongoing project, some aspects of it taking several years.

Damuth Trane organized an employee driven fundraising campaign to help raise money for the Bra-ha-ha and with multiple activities raised $2,353 to donate. The Bra-ha-ha committee organized two internal silent auctions where associates could bid on office furniture, décor, and an unused trailer. A challenge was also issued to associates to see which department could raise the most money.

To involve the local community Damuth Trane asked their business neighbors to match a $100 donation and passed out flyers to near-by facilities raising awareness about the event. Additionally, each of the three Trane Parts Store locations had a contribution bowl on the counter for customers to get involved as well.

In addition to the donation raised by fundraising Damuth Trane also created a bra affectionately named “Cool Breezes, Hot Flashes.” The bra was designed to illustrate the heating and cooling industry with fire on one side and ice on the other, while cool air blew through the middle.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- Clint Damuth, President of Damuth Trane, is pleased to announce David Wilkins will assume the Contracting Team Leader position at Damuth Trane.

Wilkins said, “I’m looking forward to helping our team continue to grow our capabilities to provide energy solutions to our customers.”

Wilkins, who has been with Damuth Trane since January 2010, has proven his ability to lead while serving as the equipment and controls Sales Team Leader. Also, with over 18 years of experience with Trane in controls sales, controls operations, and oversight of construction operations he is an ideal candidate for the previously vacant position.

Wilkins will begin taking on new responsibilities with the Contracting Operations team immediately. He will also remain as the interim Sales Team Leader while Damuth Trane pursues a replacement.

The contracting department is responsible for Damuth Trane’s retrofit solutions and equipment controls. “I’m also excited about maintaining and sustaining our already high standards in delivering building automation solutions to our customers,” Wilkins noted. Wilkins will be leading and managing the controls systems opportunity.
